There are many volunteer opportunities at the Carroll County Public Library. In our library branches, volunteers play an important role in helping staff maintain the branch, assisting with collection maintenance, and with program development. At library headquarters, volunteers help with various clerical tasks. For more information, call 410.386.4488.
Summer Reading Volunteer applications will be available in all library branches from April 1 until April 15, 2009. The number of positions at each branch are limited.
CCPL has opportunities for adults and high school juniors and seniors to volunteer on a regular basis. There are also a number of ways that younger students can help during the summer, and a limited number during the school year. Specific opportunities may vary from branch to branch.
We thank our volunteers in many ways throughout the year, including annual celebrations during National Volunteer Week, and a system-wide rewards and recognition program.
Check with the branch where you are interested in volunteering to learn about volunteer opportunities.
Volunteer opportunities are advertised in library branches with signs on the bulletin board and at the Information and Circulation Desks.
